About Our Lake Community

GOOSE CREEK LAKE SUBDIVISION

GOOSE CREEK LAKE SUBDIVISION is Located in both St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve counties. Goose Creek was founded in 1968 and contains approximately 6,000 lots covering more than 2,500 acres. In 1985, Goose Creek Lake was enlarged to its present size of approximately 400 acres, with over 10 miles of shoreline. There are 5 smaller fishing lakes and ponds within our community ranging from approximately 1/2 to 13 acres in size:

  • Lake Harper

  • Ridge Lake

  • Lake Sagamore

  • Fish Pond

  • Ahner's Pond.

All lakes and ponds are stocked with catfish, bass and crappie annually. Goose Creek Lake also contains populations of grass carp and walleye.

The subdivision became governed by a Board Of Trustees in 1978, and annual elections are held to fill trustee positions at the Fall meeting. The Trustees meet monthly on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 9:00 am and all property owners in good standing are welcome to attend. We are a gated community and the main entrance is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additionally, there are vehicle patrols and video surveillance at public facilities to ensure the safety of property owners and their guests. Property owners receive picture ID cards that allow them to automatically enter the gates. Property Owners can obtain Family ID cards for family members for $15.00 a year. Family ID cards need to be renewed yearly. Property Owners can also obtain guest passes for their friends and family. To obtain a guest pass please see the office or Security Office.

All lots in the Subdivision are under the control of the Covenants and Restrictions of Goose Creek Subdivision. Any changes to the  Covenants must be voted on by property owners to be incorporated into the Covenants.
All community improvements and maintenance are possible from annual assessments.  Assessments are due on January 1st. Multiple owners on the same lot each pay the same assessments. Married couples are counted as a single owner. Property Owners must vote on any assessment changes.

The Volunteer Groups sponsor many planned activities and events for Goose Creek community members and their families.
